What Should I Bring to New Student Orientation?

  • A government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport)
  • Your Aggie Access ID (9-digit number that came in your Admissions Letter, sometimes referred to as Banner ID)
  • Comfortable clothes and walking shoes

Will I be able to register for classes during New Student Orientation?

New Student Orientation will include an enrollment clinic from 11:30 A.M.- 3:00 P.M. for students to register for classes. During orientation, you’ll receive guidance on academic requirements, course offerings, and how to navigate the registration process. Academic advisors and orientation leaders will be there to assist you in selecting classes that align with your academic goals and interests. It’s a great opportunity to get personalized support and ensure you start your academic journey on the right foot!

Can I bring guests or family members to New Student Orientation?

Yes! New Student Orientation welcomes guests and family members to participate alongside incoming students. It’s a chance for loved ones to get acquainted with the University environment, learn about campus resources, and gain insight into the college experience you’ll be embarking on. During orientation, there are sessions specifically design for parents covering topics such as campus services, financial aid, and ways to support their students throughout their academic journey. Having your family members or guests present can enhance your orientation experience and help foster a sense of community as you transition into college life.

What if I have questions before my session?

You can contact the Admissions Office at 580.349.1310 with any questions you may have before your New Aggie Orientation Session.

What happens after New Student Orientation?

After New Student Orientation, ensure you are all set for Move-In Day! Move-In Day will be set for August 16th. You’ll receive information about what to bring, move-in procedures, and activities planned for the following Welcome Week, which typically includes a series of events and programming to introduce you to campus life and help you make connections with your peers.
